Hi! I’m John Benedict Malong, and I’m one of your Professor at FEU Roosevelt – Marikina for the Bachelor of Multimedia Arts (BMMA) program. I teach courses like Writing for New Media, Color Theory, and Digital Photography which where the fun stuff that helps you tell stories in creative and exciting ways.
Aside from teaching, I also work with GMA Public Affairs as an Assistant Video Journalist. My main program is Pinas Sarap, where we travel to different places to learn how local dishes are mad and of course, we get to taste them too! On the team, I’m the third-angle video journalist, which means I capture those extra shots that make the story more dynamic and visually engaging.
Before teaching, I worked on documentaries, magazine shows, drama series, and reality programs for TV and social media. I also do food and product photography, which I really enjoy because it combines creativity and technical skills.
Why do I teach? Because I love sharing what I’ve learned in the industry and helping future creatives like you discover your own style and voice. Multimedia isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about telling stories that connect with people.
When I’m not teaching or working on Pinas Sarap, you’ll probably find me experimenting with new creative tools, exploring design trends, or planning my next photography project.
